Aventura Parks is the first ropes adventure park to become a Certified Autism Center™ (CAC) in the Middle East. The CAC designation, granted by the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES), requires guest-facing staff to complete training and certification and an onsite review by IBCCES that will allow Aventura Parks to provide guests with sensory guides, pre-travel planning tools, and other resources to ensure their visit is a success.
For more than 20 years, IBCCES has been the leader in cognitive disorder training and certification for healthcare, education, and corporate professionals around the globe. IBCCES is the only accredited organization providing this type of certification, which includes evidence-based training as well as the perspectives of individuals with autism, alongside other tools and resources such as onsite reviews, customized recommendations, and renewal requirements to ensure the program is a long-term commitment that has a lasting impact.
Aventura Parks staff received specialized training to ensure they have the required knowledge, skills, temperament, and expertise to cater to all individuals, including those with special needs.
The IBCCES Sensory Guide provides insight on how a child with sensory processing issues may be affected by each sense for activities at Aventura Parks.
OPEN GUIDE >Guests in need of a quieter location are encouraged to visit Aventura's Chill Zone. This area of the park is less populated and includes shaded seating areas under the trees.
No outside food or beverages are allowed to be brought into Aventura Parks. Exceptions may be made for guests with special dietary requirements, including food allergies and baby food/formula.
